Diet

Everyone’s body is different and everyone’s healing process is different. Things that work for some may not work for others. Below is the diet I followed to rid my body of excess Candida.

Proteins:

  • grass fed beef and lamb
  • free range chicken and organic turkey
  • wild caught, low mercury fish like; salmon, haddock, flounder, and tilapia

Vegetables:

  • leafy greens
  • sprouts
  • asparagus
  • brussels sprouts
  • cauliflower and broccoli
  • cucumber
  • fennel
  • okra
  • herbs (mint, parsley, cilantro, basil)
  • garlic and onions
  • zucchini and summer squash
  • green beans
  • cabbage
  • celery
  • sweet potato, butternut squash, acorn squash, turnips, yams, beets and turnips in moderation

Fruit:

  • lemon and lime
  • organic berries
  • coconut
  • organic green apples (cook with cinnamon and coconut oil for a good dessert!)
  • avocado
  • kiwi

Nuts/Seeds/Beans/Grains(if you tolerate them):

  • raw and organic is best
  • soak and sprout them if possible
  • cashews, almonds, brazil nuts, macadamia nuts, walnuts
  • flax seeds, chia seeds, hemp seeds, pepitas
  • garbanzo beans, lentils, black beans
  • sprouted quinoa
  • teff and buckwheat (think pancakes!)

Fats and Oils

  • organic and unrefined
  • coconut oil, olive oil, avocado oil
  • grass fed tallow
  • ghee (if you tolerate it)

Other

  • stevia
  • bone broth
  • cacao powder
  • coconut milk/flour
  • herbal teas
  • shirataki noodles
  • spices: pink salt, turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, parsley, oregano, coriander, thyme, sage, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, etc.
  • non alcoholic vanilla extract
