Healing Checklist

I am by no means a doctor, and I can’t guarantee that following these steps will help you heal, but these are just some things that helped me on my journey towards better gut health. I would recommend following these steps for 6 months to start. If you are still symptomatic, follow these steps for 12 months.

It will be beneficial to first determine the cause of your symptoms. Some common culprits of gut issues are; candida, lyme disease, mold toxicity, heavy metal toxicity, parasites, h.pylori, SIBO, and histamine intolerance. If you are unable to pinpoint the cause, following these steps could resolve your issues.

  1. Drink half your weight in ounces of filtered water per day
  2. Only drink room temperature water, and drink it away from meals so that you don’t dilute your stomach acid which breaks down your food for proper digestion
  3. Remove gut-inflaming foods from your diet
    • gluten, grains, legumes, eggs, refined sugars, dairy, starches, processed foods, soy, unhealthy oils
    • if you have candida overgrowth, you will also want to remove all sugar besides fruit, yeast-containing foods, and mold-containing foods
  4. Avoid alcohol and coffee
  5. Avoid drugs
  6. Reduce stress
  7. Do a 2 day bone broth fast every month
  8. Eat nourishing foods
  9. Take your supplements 
  10. Sleep 8-9 hours every night
  11. Light exercise for 30 minutes every day
  12. Do an Elimination Diet
  13. Less social media and tv, more reading
