I have taken TONS of supplements during my healing journey. Some of them helped and some of them didn’t. There were some that I felt were crucial to my healing process. They are:

  1. Probiotics
    • at least 40-50 billion CFU, if not more
    • at least 10 different strains in your probiotic
    • Prescript Assist and OrthoMolecular are great brands
    • s. boulardii is beneficial when fighting yeast
  2. Magnesium
    • helps with digestion
    • calms nerves and anxiety
  3. Zinc Carnosine
    • reduces inflammation
    • supports gastric healing and maintains a healthy mucosal lining
    • helps prevent free-radical damage to gastric cells
    • helps protect the GI system from damage caused by medications like NSAIDs and PPIs
  4. Vitamin C
    • immune support
  5. Vitamin D
    • prevents inflammation and disease
  6. Biotin
    • hair, skin and nail health
  7. Betaine HCL
    • increases the level of hydrochloric acid in the stomach necessary for proper digestion and assimilation of nutrients from food
    • helps to restore the proper acid levels in the stomach and maintain healthy GI function
    • most people with gut issues think too much stomach acid is their problem, and they resort to PPIs which can weaken the immune system and cause Candida. often times, the problem is that we have too little stomach acid, making our bodies more vulnerable to disease
